Altar servers play an important role in our Sunday worship. These young people of our parish assist the priests at Sunday and Holyday Masses. All boys and girls in our parish, fourth grade and older, are eligible for this ministry. Annual training sessions are held and altar servers are assigned on a rotating basis.

What we do?
As the Altar servers we assist the Priest in the celebration of the Mass so the liturgy can be conducted with grace and reverence. We assist the celebrant at the chair and at the altar, lighting the candles, carrying the processional cross, carrying the incense, holding the books, and a variety of other tasks during the service. We do this by performing our duties with honor and respect, reflecting the true presence of Christ at the Mass.
This ministry helps us to develop a sense of participation in our parish life and a love for the church's liturgical life, while growing closer to God in our own life. It also offers an opportunity to understand the rewards of service.
WE LOVE GOD AND HIS CHURCH.
WE WANT TO SERVE GOD AND HIS PEOPLE.

An Altar Server’s Prayer
Loving Father, creator of the universe,
You call your people to worship,
to be with You and with one another at Mass.
I thank You for having called me
to assist others in their prayer to You.
May I be worthy of the trust placed in me
and through my example and service
bring others closer to You.
I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ,
who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.
